Yaebon Go, Cellist
 

         Yaebon has enjoyed being a cellist for the past 20 years and has been teaching privately for in Orange County, California. 

 

         Yaebon received her Bachelor's degree from the esteemed Colburn School, where she received a full scholarship and studied under Ronald Leonard, former principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. After completing her studies at The Colburn School, she moved to Chicago to pursue a Master's degree at Northwestern University under the expert guidance of the legendary Hans Jørgan Jensen. 

 

         Yaebon’s orchestral experience brought her to play in Walt Disney Concert Hall under Gustavo Dudamel, Santa Barbara Bowl under Alan Gilbert, Ambassador Auditorium under James Conlon, as well as Cerritos Performing Arts Center. Yaebon has served as a principal cellist in the Music Academy of the West’s Festival Orchestra, Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, and Cal State University, Fullerton’s Symphony Orchestra, where she was a principal cellist for two years. 

 

         As a member of the Colburn Chamber Music Society, Yaebon has had the opportunity to collaborate with distinguished artists such as Robert Levin, John Perry, and Los Angeles Philharmonic Principal Horn, Andrew Bain. Throughout her career, she has received numerous scholarships to attend prestigious festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival, Summit Music Festival, and Music Academy of the West. Yaebon was awarded a full scholarship at the Music Academy of the West and participated as a teaching fellow. 

 

         Yaebon's impressive performance history spans several countries, having played in concerts and recitals across Germany, Italy, Spain, Korea, and the United States.
